Blocks with Attributes for Annotations
Revit “annotation families” contain tags driven by parameter values of the element annotated. In the standard export, these tags are exported as individual text entities. In AutoCAD there is a similar concept for annotations, blocks with attribuets. The attributes of a “room tag”, for example, are “grouped” by the fact that they belong to the same block (i.e. the room) and the tags also have a name, not only a value defining the “context” of the value. This feature of AutoCAD has been wideli used and was the basis for FM systems using AutoCAD drawings.
The EDER tool allows to “map” the Revit parameters to attribute tags or to use the “automatic” feature so that the tag name is taken from the name of the Revit parameter.
With the EDER Tool you can automatically create drawings for AutoCAD based facilites management systems directly from the Revit model.
